We were on the national rt. 66 trip last fall and stayed overnight in Shamrock. Needed the car washed in the morning but had no quarters. A lovely young woman walked over from the lube place next door and fixed us up with lots of change. Friendly town.

Located right behind Big Vern's Steakhouse. I had a tire bulge develop right outside of Shamrock, where I was staying the night on my Route 66 drive from AZ to IL. They changed my tire out for the full sized spare for free, and offered me open lug nuts so my GMC spare fit snugly, because they had seen situations where the closed end lug nits did not fully torque on the spare wheel GMC uses. Good advice. Was on the road in minutes with peace of mind and over 1,500 miles to go on my journey. Thank you guys for treating me right, and fair while on the road.
Found this garage as we were traveling across the country and our car started to leak oil. The entire staff was fantastic. We pulled in and before we could get out of our car one of the women met us in the parking lot. They got us in right away, looked over the entire car and made sure everything was safe for our continued trip. The mechanic made sure we knew how to check the oil level correctly and that we had extra oil with us, just in case. He told us to check the oil level every few hours, but assured us that we would be safe continuing our journey. When I went to pay for the service they wouldn't take any money and wished a safe journey.
